In the beginning.....

I've been roamin around this wicked Earth since birth/
Tryin to quench my thirst and clinch a piece of turf/
Knee deep with greed lookin for treasure in the dirt/
Just another wide eyed pervert tryin to flirt with the world's skirt/
I couldn't come clean with the fact that pride ran this machine/
Dishonesty clouded my vision didn't even know I was playin for satan's team/
Before long I hit my teens and started skippin school so I could break free/
My priorities were all outta wack but I still couldn't see/
Blind to the real meaning/
Dreaming about honeys and money thought I was livin but really I was just running/
What I really needed was a heavy dose of humbling/

I used to dive deep inside my mind tryin to unwind this design and define the meaning of time/
Thinking I could find the solution to life and call it mine/
After years of committing spiritual crimes I now find I was blind to the Divine/
Jesus is now the vine I cling to today until the end of time/
I'm Tarzan swingin from His branches bearin spiritual fruit that buries evil like avalanches/
My soul is on fire all I desire is to hang my hat and retire to that Kingdom Higher/
His word is an explosion against sin savin all these lost souls from blowin in the wind/
Jesus is my best friend now come join us so we can all live eternally as kin/
